Jake Hadley has recently made headlines by taking a strong stance against Muhammad Mokaev following UFC 304.
Mokaev’s week was anything but ordinary. He found himself in the middle of a brawl with Manel Kape and his team, emerged victorious against Kape at UFC 304, and was subsequently released by the UFC. There have been claims that Mokaev was negotiating with PFL while still under UFC contract, although Mokaev’s team has denied these allegations.
As it stands, the future of this talented, undefeated prospect is uncertain. Despite his impressive record, it seems the UFC may not be interested in continuing their association at this moment.
Jake Hadley Takes Aim at “Clown” Muhammad Mokaev Over UFC 304 Antics
Jake Hadley, who also fought at UFC 304, didn’t hold back in his post-fight comments about Mokaev:
“I thought he was boring. He’s an idiot. He’s just trying to fight everyone in the back. He sucker-punched Manel Kape and all these geezers. He’s a clown. He tried to start on me on the bus yesterday, but I’ll smash his head in, that idiot. If he wants to come up to 135 – I’d even go back down to 125 just to smash his head in. He’s never wanted that fight in his life, but he’s higher up the ranking, so I can understand. But when we were both on the same ranking level, he never wanted the fight. He don’t want the fight – and I’d kill him.”
These comments were captured by MMA Junkie at the UFC 304 post fight press conference and reflect Hadley’s frustration and strong opinions about Mokaev’s recent behaviour.
What’s next for Muhammad Mokaev remains to be seen. If you were Dana White, and the UFC matchmakers what would you do with Mokaev? Let us know in the comments!
