Jake “Problem Child” Paul has taken to the social media website X to vent his frustrations on his fight with Canelo Alvarez getting scrapped. In the post, Paul wrote. “Breaking news: Canelo Alvarez ducked me, Jae Paul, and is now an owned slave with no regard for the Mexican people who support him on US soil. It’s not surprising when his whole career he has done nothing for the sport of boxing. You cannot have the biggest fight of 2025 without my name involved. When all of your events tank and lose money you will all realize who the king of the sport is. 28 years old. Biggest fight in boxing history. My own boss. Not owned. 5 years in. All of you felines want to see me fail, but God has other plans. It’s the era of good. The Era of the elephant. It’s the era of MVP”.

Jake Paul during his rant on X hurls a phrase that has been making the rounds in the combat world. Alvarez ducked me, anyone who has watched the career of Canelo Alvarez knows he fights all comers as they roll in as long as the check clears. With the fight talks coming to a halt between Paul and Alvarez on the heels of a four-fight deal Alvarez inked with his excellency Turki Alalshikh. With Alalshikh in tow, the Paul fight was iced and talks with Terence “Bud” Crawford resumed a super-fight that seemingly had been put off.
