Jake Paul has suggested that Mike Perry could join his company after Conor McGregor’s harsh comments following Perry’s recent knockout loss. Perry had stepped in as a last-minute replacement to fight Paul, who managed to secure a brutal knockout in the sixth round.
After the fight, McGregor, a shareholder in BKFC, went on social media to announce that Perry was fired due to his performance. However, Jake Paul quickly stepped in to offer some reassurance. Paul humorously mentioned that Perry could work at his media company, Betr.
Jake Paul Extends Job Offer to Mike Perry After Conor McGregor Axes Him
“Mike Perry, as you got fired by Conor McGregor from BKFC, we will hire you at Betr into a partnership and give you some sort of role,” Paul stated. “We’ll figure out what that’s going to be. Betr has a job for you, Mike Perry. We’re just giving him another stream of income. He can keep fighting. We can maybe start a podcast with him or something; we’ll figure it out.”
Despite McGregor’s claims, Perry’s record with BKFC is impressive, with five wins and no losses. Perry also holds a stake in BKFC, making it nearly impossible for him to be removed from the organization. This ownership gives him significant leverage within the promotion.
McGregor insinuated that Perry’s performance outside of BKFC did not merit his continued presence, which led to a strong response from Perry. He remarked, “He doesn’t have a promotion because me and him are both owners of BKFC. He can’t fire me. We can fight bare-knuckle. Look at me. I lost to Jake Paul. Why don’t you go fight Jake Paul and box him with the gloves on? I think it would be worse than Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather.”
Perry added, “But I’ll probably get back in the gym because that’s all I know. And I’ll train and I’ll try to get better. And you know, I use it as a mental health thing. I train in the gym to be a better person.”
Perry Talks KO Loss
Jake Paul, buoyed by his recent victory, has a promising future ahead. He is set to return to the ring in November for a much-anticipated fight with Mike Tyson. Additionally, Paul has several lucrative fight offers lined up for 2025, contingent on his performance against the heavyweight legend.
While McGregor’s comments may have been harsh, Perry’s resilience and dedication to the sport suggest that he will continue fighting and training. The offer from Paul adds a new dimension to Perry’s career prospects, ensuring he remains active and engaged in the combat sports world.
