In a recent interview, Jake Paul gives his prediction for the Nate Diaz fight. Looking to send a message by predicting a sixth or seventh-round knockout when they face each other next month.
August 5th is the date set for Jake Paul to try to get back into the win column. After having his first professional loss back in February of this year to Tommy Fury. The Problem Child then picked the former UFC title challenger Nate Diaz as his next opponent after Diaz’s contract with the UFC ended.
As the fight draws closer, Jake Paul spoke with InsideFighting. To talk about his upcoming opponent Diaz and multiple other topics he would be later asked to send a message to his opponent. Later followed up by a fight prediction, with Jake Responding:
“My message to Nate Diaz is look, I’m glad you trained hard. I’m excited to fight you and anything you bring to the ring will not be good enough to beat me. You will be stopped in the sixth or seventh round.”
Earlier in February of this year, The Problem Child would lose his unbeaten streak when it came crashing down after a split decision loss to Tommy Fury. Before that loss, Paul had amassed quite the resume of past opponents when he would beat two former UFC champions and former Bellator and ONE champions. with beating: AnEsonGib (Youtuber), Nate Robinson (Former NBA Player), Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley x2 and Anderson Silva. However, his opponent Nate Diaz’s last fight was against Tony Ferguson at UFC 279 last year. Where Diaz was able to pick up a submission win in the 4th round. Just after this fight, Diaz would part ways with the UFC to pursue other options later agreeing to fight Paul in boxing.
Jake Paul Nate Diaz Fight
Nate Diaz and his team (The Skrap Pack) have built notoriety for causing havoc during fight weeks. With starting brawls pre and post-fight with numerous fighters such as Jason Miller, Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. With Diaz’s camp’s distaste of Jake Paul, he was questioned about the chance of an altercation happening during fight week. Paul replied with:
“I’m not (worried about any team vs. team run-ins). We’re ready for this smoke if they want to do that punk sh*t that they normally do, but not worried about it all. the most that can happen is somebody getting hit with a water bottle, that’s their signature, so it’s not too bad.”
