After previous fights falling through due to Tommy Fury’s travel issues, things heated up at the Mayweather vs Deji boxing event on Sunday evening between Tommy and Jake Paul.
During Tommy’s bout, Jake Paul was the guest commentator. He spent the time given to him to express his feelings about Tommy’s boxing ability. Often making jibes at Tommy’s partner Molly Mae.
After Tommy’s exhibition bout had come to an end, John Fury (Tommy’s father) took centre stage as he took his shirt off and began to go at Jake, calling for him to step in the ring and face him. Tommy got on the mic and said he was ready as soon as Jake was and even tried to get out of the ring to confront him up close and personal.
Michael Benson later tweeted out a video of John Fury stating that a deal between John and Jake’s manager has been verbally agreed for February. This led Jake Paul to tweet he has agreed to fight in February in London or Manchester but only if he has a signed contract sent to him within seven days.
