The pair are set to face off for the first time tomorrow in London at Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde.
Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury Announcement
“The moment of truth has finally arrived,” Jake said in a statement via ESPN. “On Feb. 26th, I will get in the ring with a ‘real boxer,’ an 8-0 fighter from a storied fighting family and show the world the truth about who Jake Paul, the boxer really is.”
Tommy Fury also commented on the announcement, “Jake Paul’s boxing career ends on Feb 26th. Every time I go out, everybody asks about the Jake Paul fight. After this is done, everybody will be asking how it felt to knock Jake Paul out. The world is about to see what happens when a proper boxer faces a Youtuber.”
With his half-brother, heavyweight great Tyson Fury saying that he “can stay in Saudi Arabia” if he doesn’t ‘chin’ Jake Paul, pressure is ramped up on Tommy having pulled out of the fight scheduled twice before. The first time was in December 2021 with illness & rib injury, & the second was in August 2022 due to travel issues entering the United States. John Fury, who coaches Tommy also stated there would be “no more boxing for Tommy” if he loses against Paul. Despite this, he maintains the belief that Jake isn’t a challenge. Fury, recently stated that Jake was a ‘roadblock’ and that he’s taking the fight because of how lucrative it is.
While Jake, on the other hand, aims to prove his status as a legitimate boxer and gain respect within the sport. In fact, a win over Tommy Fury may even reverse questions of who is a ‘real boxer’ between the two.
Whatever the result on fight night, the consequences are clear. In either case, the landscape of someone’s career will be completely changed.
Card Announcement
In the co-main event, former two-weight world champion Badou Jack (27-3-3) will challenge WBC Cruiserweight Champion Illunga Makaba (29-2). Elsewhere on the card Ashton Sylve (8-0), an undefeated prospect under Jake Pauls’s Most Valuable Promotions will be in action against Maxwell Awuku (48-5-1). The full card official announcement is likely imminent on Friday.

I believe that Jake will beat Tommy Fury. I’m not sure Tommy has the bottle to be honest, I expect him to crumble under pressure. But this fight definitely ends someone’s career
