Fight Analysis
The matchup between Turner and Green is set to be a fascinating display of striking and versatility. Turner, with his knockout power and submission ability, will likely aim to keep the fight standing and utilize his reach. He may capitalize by snatching Green’s neck should they go to the ground, however. Green, known for his well-rounded skill set and experience, could look to mix his striking with grappling to control the pace of the fight. Both fighters have shown they can engage in stand-up wars and have the potential to finish fights, making this an unpredictable and thrilling contest for MMA fans.
Bobby Green started the fight looking like his usual self, talking trash while dodging incoming shots with precise head movement. Turner looked to stay at range and land kicks to the legs and head. About 90 seconds in Turner landed a big right hook while Green was coming in that earned him some respect. He followed that up with a big left hand that had Bobby talking to him but Turner stayed focused. Turner quickly worked back to the center of the cage and threw a big 1-2 that had Green nearly out on his feet. “The Tarantula” pounced on the wounded Green with another big right hand that smashed Green to the floor. From there, Turner landed a barrage of strikes on seemingly unconscious Bobby Green until the ref stepped in.
There was lots of controversy online surrounding the stoppage, with many calling for the firing of referee Kerry Hatley. Green was hit with 18 strikes after being dropped, most of which landed clean on the defenseless Green.
