The former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill reacted to a recent interview between Ariel Helwani and previous champ Jiří Procházka.
Jamahal Hill recently vacated his belt at 205 pounds due to an injury set to keep him on the sidelines for around a year. He followed in the stride of Jiří Procházka who did the same in November. Jiří was recently a guest on the popular show, ‘The MMA Hour’ hosted by Ariel Helwani.
Usually, fighters make appearances to hype up fights or attract a fanbase due to their story. As Procházka will be returning from an injury soon, it was used to gain some hype building up to his attempt to regain the championship he never lost. After beating Jan Blachowicz, former 185-pound champion Alex Pereira is looking to be the most natural fight for the title later on in the year.
Jamahal Hill Releases Response Video
Jamahal Hill’s most recent YouTube upload from the channel ‘Champ Chat Podcast w/ Jamahal Hill’ titled ‘Jamahal Hill CHECKS Ariel Helwani & Jiří Procházka‘ is an 18-minute rant where the light heavyweight contender goes off on world-renowned journalist Ariel Helwani. Helwani recently had Jiri on his show ‘The MMA Hour‘ and the two would discuss the topic of Hill.
Hill describes Helwani’s actions as “Every chance you get you’re taking shots at me.” ‘Sweet Dreams’ also claimed that Ariel attempted and failed to “run circles around me verbally.”
To finish the video Jamahal had this to say directly to Helwani, “Imma be real, I’m just gonna say it like this like, like, Ariel you did what you did bro. I don’t f*** with you at all, you a snake, I think you a [laughs] I think you really a b**** bro, you’re weak and you’re really pathetic bro.”
“People come on [your show] to share their dreams, true feelings or other things with you and you take that time to try and serve your own agenda to try and get you ’10-8’s’.”
The UFC banned Ariel Helwani back in 2016 due to a fallout with UFC President Dana White due to him releasing two major fights; a Brock Lesnar return and the Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz rematch.
