Jamie Paul is set to step back into the cage on June 22nd at the Doncaster Dome for Caged Steel 36. His opponent, Uzair Khan, is known for his dangerous skills on the mat, making this an exciting matchup for fight fans. We had a chance to sit down with Jamie to discuss his mindset, preparation, and what fans can expect.
Jamie is eager to face tough opponents, driven by a desire to prove himself against the best:
“My mindset from wanting tough matchups is I want to be the best. To be the best, you gotta smoke the best, and that’s what I will be doing on my journey through the rankings.”
Jamie Paul Eyes Big Performance at Caged Steel 36.
It’s been a while since we’ve seen Jamie in action, and he openly shared the reason for his absence:
“I won’t lie, I have been living the rockstar lifestyle, partying nonstop, but in recent months, I have had my first daughter. She has given us the motivation to get back into fighting. I want to be a father she can look up to and be proud of, not some waster.”
When it comes to his upcoming fight with Uzair Khan, Jamie has a clear strategy in mind:
“My keys to victory is drilling my right fist through his eye socket. He is a dangerous jiu jitsu guy, but he has to get us to the ground. I think my wrestling will be too superior for him. Saying that, I also got good jiu jitsu. Who knows, I might even beat him at his own game and tap him myself. Tune in to find out.”
What Does a Win Do?
A win over Khan would make it three straight victories for Jamie, and he’s already looking ahead:
“December 7th, Cage Steel, book that title fight. I’m going back down to bantamweight and taking gold back to Wales with a jagerbomb in my hand.”
As for what fans can expect on June 22nd, Jamie is confident and ready to put on a show.:
“The fans can expect a confident and game fighter in myself coming to put a statement on June 22nd.”
With his renewed motivation and determination, Jamie Paul is ready to make a strong comeback and leave a lasting impression at Caged Steel 36. Fight fans won’t want to miss this one.
