Anthony Joshua is due to head to Saudi Arabia for a summer rematch against Oleksandr Usyk.
In the first outing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Oleksandr Usyk shocked the world by defeating Joshua.
On that night Usyk won the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight titles.
Despite recent reports of a delay, it is looking likely that the rematch will take place on July 23.
Jeddah Super Dome to Host Oleksandr Usyk vs Anthony Joshua 2
The Jeddah Super Dome can hold up to 40,000 and will be the official venue for Usyk vs Joshua 2.
It previously hosted the WWE Elimination Chamber in February.
Joshua will be itching to reclaim his heavyweight titles in an attempt to set up a super fight with Tyson Fury.
Promoter Eddie Hearn has recently confirmed that Joshua has plans to fight twice this year.
Following the summer showdown with Usyk, Anthony is targeting a return to the ring in December.
The Englishman has already competed in Saudi Arabia, having defeated Andy Ruiz back in 2019.
It’s been reported that Joshua has teamed up with new trainer Robert Garcia, who was pictured with Angel Fernandez, at their current training base at Loughborough University.
As for Usyk, the Ukrainian has started training again after he returned to his home country due to the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
Since moving up to heavyweight, Usyk has caught the eye of many and has impressed every time he’s stepped foot inside the ring.
Currently 3-0 at heavyweight, Usyk will be eager to silence his critics with another win over Joshua.
With that being said, it’s fair to say that he will have a tough test in the rematch against Joshua.
