Jermaine Lewin will win “by any means necessary” ahead of his Battle Arena 77 bout with Kai Hansaw.
The popular mixed martial arts promotion will make Coventry their home for the evening, with fighters from across the country all set to make the walk intending to steal the show. Team Renegade’s Jermaine Lewin being one of them.
Prior to fight night, we caught a word with Jermain Lewin who’s excited to get in there on Saturday night. Hear his thoughts below.
Interview With Jermaine Lewin
Saturday night you clash with Jermain Lewin in your second outing of the year. What are your thoughts on this matchup from a stylistic standpoint?
This is a good matchup for the both of us, but it only can be one winning.
Two months ago, you fought on FightStar 24. A performance I’m sure you want to put behind you. But touching on it quickly, was it just one of them nights, or were you able to pin-point a mistake you made for the result to not go in your favour?
Few of my teammates have fought on FightStar when they were coming up. They said it was a good show to fight on, so when I seen they announced that they are coming to Birmingham, I had to make sure I was on the card. It was a good experience. Regardless of what the reasons were, I don’t make excuses for anything. I learn from it and keep moving forward.
Lewin Talks Improvements
Going by your Instagram, you seem to have been putting in the work. What areas in your game can we expect to see an improvement in on Saturday night? Any new tools you’ve added to your arsenal that you can tease for the fans?
Yeah I’ve just been chipping away and working on my craft, step by step brick by brick. My striking you will see more coming into this fight, and I added a lot of tools to my game.
You’ve made your intentions clear ahead of Saturday night, finish Kai Hansaw and then it’s strap season. In your own mind, what do you need to do to Saturday night to ensure you overcome Kai, and then get that belt?
I will get the job done by any means necessary…STRAP SEASON.
Kai has had two fights, one where he’s lost in the first, and one where he’s secured a win in the first. Two different fights and two different performances for you to analyse. What do you take away from those two fights that you’ll be taking into Saturday night?
Well I studied his style from both of his fights, regardless of his outcome. It will be a good fight.
A win in Coventry gets you back in the win column. What’s next for Jermaine Lewin? Are you looking to get one more in before the year ends?
The plan is to get few belts and have 3/4 more fights before the year ends.
