Jim Miller will not be heading into the octagon anytime soon as he is needing time to heal up. This is after suffering several injuries during his fight last weekend at UFC 300 against Bobby Green.
Jim Miller Was Unsuccessful at UFC 300
Jim Miller is the only fighter to compete at UFC 100, UFC 200, and UFC 300. However, Miller was unsuccessful in his attempt to capture a win at all 3 events. Miller suffered a unanimous decision (29-27, 30-25, 29-26) defeat to Bobby Green. Miller was able to get off to a strong start in the first round, However, Bobby Green was able to pick up the pace and really started to punish Miller. At the end of the 3rd and final round, Miller’s face was all covered in blood from cuts that he had received during the fight. Miller had to survive a late barrage from Bobby Green to take it to the judge’s scorecards.
Jim Miller Revealed Damage
Jim Miller revealed the damage which was caused at UFC 300. This included 23 stitches which had to be done to close up all the wounds that Green had done during the fight. Going onto Instagram Jim Miller explained;
“The struggle is real,”
“Broke my hand at some point in the first, I think the later half of the round. Broke my toe. I guess I need some milk.”
During this post that he made, Jim Miller seems to still be in good spirits despite the defeat. Miller has since dropped down to have a 5-2 record over the past 7 UFC appearances. Miller was in good spirits when he explains;
“I like to keep moving forward, regardless of the previous outcome,” Miller wrote. “I can only affect the future challenges. Time to heal up and move on, but at the moment more importantly it’s garden season.”
What Is Next?
Even though Jim Miller was unsuccessful in the UFC octagon this weekend. Miller was able to extend his current record which is for the most fights in the UFC which is now at 44 fights. Jim Miller will look to get back into the octagon very soon and try and achieve his 27 victories in the UFC. He currently has 26 which is also another record which he currently holds in the UFC.
