Jiří Procházka released a scathing criticism of both Magomed Ankalaev and Jamahal Hill.
Procházka took to X (formerly Twitter) and wasn’t impressed with Ankalaev past three fights.
It didn’t long as Ankalaev responded to the video who pointed out his past two losses.
Jiří Procházka criticises Magomed Ankalaev
Following the announcement that Jiří Procházka is set to face Jamahal Hill in January 2025. The former champion released a video on X. Prochazka criticised both Magomed Ankalaev and Jamahal Hill and said; “After a long time, I’m really looking forward for my next fight. Jamahal, don’t speak about my performances, fight IQ, and all these things because in your last fight, you didn’t show nothing really,”
Procházka went on to say; “Ankalaev. In your last three fights, you showed totally nothing. So stay on the ground.”
The Czech Republic fighter is looking to make a comeback following a disappointing loss to Alex Periera. Jiří Procházka was once the king of the light heavyweights but following a broken leg he was forced to vacate the belt.
Ankalaev fires back at former champion
It didn’t take long for Magomed Ankalaev to respond with the Dagestan fighter also taking to social media. On his official X account he responded to Jiří Procházka and wrote: “Hey why you talk about me, 2 of your last 3 fights you went to sleep. Alex made you go to sleep but I will make Alex go to sleep and I believe Jamahal Hill will make you sleep also, your new name is sleepy Jiri. Focus on your fight.”
Magomed Ankalaev is next in line for a world title attempt. Blessed with elite-level grappling champion Alex Periera will be in for a tough fight with the Russian. However, the UFC hasn’t announced a date for Ankalaev vs Pereira it will most likely occur once Periera has recovered following his brutal last fight with Khalil Rountree. A potential fight against Jiří Procházka will most liekly happen later on in 2025 depending on who is the champion.
