Jiri Prochazka is on the road to a comeback and he has called Alex Pereira as the guy he wants to fight next for the Light Heavyweight title.
After UFC 291 the light heavyweight division has a new contender in Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira, and Jiri Prochazka, who vacated the belt in December wants that fight for his return.
Pereira won a split decision on Saturday night at UFC 291 against previously #3 ranked Jan Blachowicz. As such Pereira took Jans ranking and established himself in the light heavy weight division as a new contender.
Jiri won the belt back in June 2022 after finishing Glover Teixera in the 5th round at UFC 275. The pair were due to rematch in December because of a serious shoulder injury to Jiri, he subsequently relinquished the title.
Jiri will resume a 13 fight unbeaten run when he makes his return to the UFC.
