Dana White confirmed in January this year that Francis Ngannou would vacate the heavyweight belt and part ways with the UFC. Since then, the rumours of where “The Predator” will end up have not been scarce.
However, this morning The New York Times reported that his new home is the PFL. You can read the full details of the lucrative deal here.
Confirming the announcement himself on his own Youtube channel, Ngannou stated this about the storm caused by his split from the UFC.
“No matter what other promoters say, no matter what some fighters say, no matter what media say, who do you think is the baddest mother—ker on the planet? Me!”

Jon Jones Starts a Twitter Spat With Francis Ngannou
The current UFC heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, quickly responded to the claim on Twitter by saying, “Calling yourself the baddest man on the planet from across the street, who does that? Lol”
Jones was eager for the Ngannou fight before the champions exit from the UFC but settled for a quick victory over former title challenger Ciryl Gane to gain the heavyweight throne.
Ngannou responded to Jones with a witty one-liner, “then cross the street”.
The response from Ngannou must have rattled a few feathers as it led to a series of tweets from Jones. The UFC heavyweight champions Twitter rant is seen below.
Ngannou also announced today on The MMA Hour that he plans to get a boxing match this year, and he will make his PFL debut in 2024. Unsurprisingly, many boxers have already put themselves forward as potential opponents to face the 36-year-old. Some of the names included are Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, and Anthony Joshua, no doubt they all believe it’s an easy payday against someone making their boxing debut. It will be interesting to see how the next year unfolds for “The Predator”.
