Fans shocked by Jon Jones Result in Low Grip Test
Prior to his title defence against Khalil Rountree, Alex Pereira and several UFC fighters undertook the grip test. The result surprised many fans. Jon Jones scored 132.8lbs whilst his counterpart Pereira scored 159.2lbs and barely broke a sweat. Jones immediately laughed it off and offered an explanation for his poor performance.
As a result, the heavyweight champion said; “Alright, let me try my other hand. I don’t think I have any anger. I don’t have the anger in me right now. No, I had two surgeries on this side, not too long ago, I’m gonna blame them.” Fans were left stunned as many believed Jones would potentially have the highest result. One fan claimed that Pereira would have scored even higher if he took it seriously. Jones also didn’t rule out a potential fight with Alex Pereira in the near future.
Jones Dismisses Tom Aspinall
UFC 310 is this weekend with the main featuring Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic with Jones making his inaugural title defence since winning the belt. However, fans aren’t impressed as many believe Tom Aspinall should been the next contender not Miocic. When a fan questioned why the champ was avoiding a fight with Aspinall Jon Jones responded.
On his official X (Twitter) account Bones wrote; “I know it’s hard for a lot of you guys to grasp, but based on his résumé today, fighting and beating him would change nothing about my legacy. I would literally be in the same position I am now. The Goat.”
It didn’t take long for Tom Aspinall to respond. So the interim champion released a TikTok video showing all his UFC accomplishments and showing that he has beaten five of the top ten within the heavyweight division.
