Jonathan Martinez claims the biggest scalp of his career TKOing Cub Swanson via leg kicks in the second at UFC Vegas 62.
An incredible first round sees both men exchange. Cub looks extremely quick on his Bantamweight debut and lands some nice shots on the entry. Martinez is using his trademark left kick to the body to great effect. Both men have control at points but it’s mostly a stand-up exchange.
At the end of the first Jonathan Martinez throws his kick which lands flush with the knee and drops Cub. Swanson survives and makes it to round two.
Looking to capitalise on his success late, Martinez is straight out the gates and quickly gains top control on the ground. Back on his feet, Cub Swanson pushes forward looking to make up ground.
Jonathan stays disciplined and uses his kick well once again. Landing on the inside of the leg he has Cub in trouble buckling him twice. Moments later he lands one final swing that sends Swanson to the canvas in agony ending the fight.
