Forza Fighting Championship has announced the first matchup ahead of their 26th June card. The promotion revealed a fun, professional lightweight fight between Scottish Hit Squad’s Jordan Stronge and Catalin Safta.
The event marks FFC’s second show of the year, following FFC 9 on March 27th.
This entertaining lightweight addition will hopefully set the tone for further credible fights. Both Stronge and Catalin are hunting their second win in the pro-ranks.
Forza Fighting Championship: Jordan Stronge vs. Catalin Safta
The Scottish Hit Squad prospect enters the bout carrying a backpack filled with confidence, rightly so after holding a notable record from amateur level through to his professional debut.
Stronge cruised through his amateur career, going (5-0), only needing the judges just once. Since day one, the potential has been clear, and the improvements under head Coach Brian Gallagher are paying dividends. The Scot has displayed he’s a well-rounded fighter picking up KO victories and tidy submissions.
The lightweight prospect made his professional debut in August of 2021, where he submitted Michael Stuart at Holytown Havoc’s first event. The victory very well may have started off a special career for young Jordan Stronge.
Catalin Safta comes into the meeting with (1-1) professional record. Like his opponent Stronge, Safta has shown the ability to mix his game up well during his amateur and short pro career, earning both knockout and submission wins.
The Swiss international made his amateur debut in 2019, and again, like his opponent, he didn’t suffer any major hiccups, dismantling of his opposition relatively easy.
Safta made the transition to the pro-ranks in 2021. After attaining five-straight stoppage wins, the Strike Academy representative was handed his first loss in his MMA career. Safta returned to the win column four months later, securing a rear-naked choke over Daniel Vogel at Time to Shine 4.
This lightweight clash makes for good viewing. Both fighters have shown their not one-trick ponies and can bring the fight to one another in several departments.
FFC 10 Goes Down 26th June
The fight card is building with several noteworthy names expected to make the walk. Hosting the night of action will be the Strawberry Bar in Dunbar, East Lothian. Both Stronge and Safta will be eager on finding that second victory in the early stages of their professional careers.
