Jorge Masvidal just can’t help himself from fighting multiple times in one night.
Following his loss against Nate Diaz in a boxing match this past weekend, Masvidal was quick to square up with members of Team Diaz in the ring. Masvidal was on the mic talking to the crowd after the fight, expressing his belief that he won the fight. As soon as he finished up, he said “let’s go” and seemingly squared up with someone from Team Diaz.
Luckily instead of another brawl between the teams breaking out, Masvidal took a step back and was quickly wrapped by his coaches and cornermen before things got serious.
Jorge Masvidal’s History With Team Diaz
This all comes following a massive brawl that occurred in the lead-up to the fight. At the pre-fight press conference, a member of Team Diaz swung at Jorge Masvidal and an all-out brawl went down with a crowd of people throwing punches mixed with those trying to separate the teams.
Masvidal is known to cause problems at times when it comes to over-aggression outside of the fight. He notoriously hit Leon Edwards with a “three-piece and a soda” and also broke Colby Covington’s tooth when he punched him outside of a Miami steakhouse. Luckily, a post-fight brawl wasn’t added to the list of incidents involving Jorge Masvidal.
What’s Next for Jorge Masvidal?
Jorge Masvidal has kept quiet the past year, managing Gambred Promotions and staying out of the limelight. Masvidal did tease a return to MMA earlier this year, yet nothing has come from his initial announcement. He left the sport on a 4-fight losing streak with his last win coming over his recent boxing opponent, Nate Diaz. Following this controversial loss to Diaz, Masvidal will likely continue to grow Gamebred Bare Knuckle and gauge interest in a return to MMA.
