Reflecting on his preparation for the fight, Kenworthy highlighted similarities to his previous camp:
“My preparation for this fight camp has been similar to my last fight camp as then I was also preparing for a five-round fight. The biggest difference has been my diet, making sure that my body is performing optimally,” he shared.

Assessing his opponent’s skill set, Kenworthy expressed confidence in his own abilities:
“I think my opponent’s pretty decent all-round, but I’m confident I’ll be on top in all aspects of the fight,” he remarked.
Looking ahead to the outcome of the fight, Kenworthy remained steadfast in his belief of victory:
“I know I’ll win no matter what, whether it be TKO, submission, or decision, it doesn’t matter, but I’ll get the win,” he stated confidently.
