An exciting fight has been added to the CW 138 card. When Josh Reed takes on Luke Shanks, two bantamweight finishers will collide. This is a must-watch fight, guaranteed to produce fireworks. Don’t miss it, and certainly don’t blink.
Josh Reed
Nicknamed “Crazy Horse”, Josh is exactly that. Crazy by name, crazy by nature, the Welshman has only seen the judges five times across 18 fights. With a record of 12-6, Reed has a kill or be killed fighting style, leading to every fight he is in being electric. With 12 wins and ten finishes. Three are coming via KO/TKO and seven from Submission. You know what you’re in for when you step into the cage with “Crazy Horse”. A Cage Warriors regular, any fan of the promotion can tell you what you’re getting in a Josh Reed scrap.
Training out of Shore Mixed Martial Arts. He is under great tutelage to grow and perform at the highest level. 3-3 in his last six, Josh won his last outing. He’ll be looking for another win and build on his last performance and start a run to the top.
Luke Shanks
Another finisher who doesn’t like to hear the judge’s scorecards is Luke Shanks. Shanks has a record of 9-3, winning five by the finish and also mixing it up with two KO/TKO and three by submissions. Shanks is dangerous with tools in the locker wherever the fight takes him and can battle for the full 15 minutes. Having victories both early and late. Another Cage Warriors regular, this match-up will have CW fans beaming with excitement.
Fighting out of Higher Level Martial Arts, based in Scotland. Shanks is with a top crop of UK MMA talent, so he will be getting the quality training required to become an elite fighter. Also, coming off a win, Shanks will look to take the fight to Reed and leapfrog the competition with an impressive performance here.
The Fight
Two dynamic finishers coming head to head can only mean one thing. Dynamite. Both boasting wins on the mat and feet, don’t take your eyes away from the action with this bout. Sharing many similarities, this will be a closely contested scrap, and each man will undoubtedly give their all to pick up the win.
Cage Warriors 138
Taking place in Colchester later this month, 138 is the second event in a double-header for the promotion. Happening on the 28th of May; make sure you try to get tickets if you’re in the area.
