Kade Ruotolo will be defending his Lightweight Submission Grappling World Championship against Mikey Musumeci. This has been added to the ONE 168 card which will take place in Denver, Colorado.
Kade Ruotolo to Defend Against Musumeci
ONE 168 is going to take place on September 6th at Ball Arena in Denver, Colorado. This event will mark the promotion’s return to the United States since May 2023. There are already some must-see bouts which have been announced for this card.
The current reigning ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Champion, Mikey Musumeci will attempt to become the first two-division champ in the division’s history. However, before this fight takes place he will test himself against Gabriel Sousa at ONE 167 on Friday, June 7th 2024. Musumeci will be looking to get revenge on Sousa who was able to get the victory against him back in 2021.
However, while Mikey is going up against Gabriel Sousa, Kade will be switching sports and focusing on MMA. Kade Ruotolo will make his MMA Debut at ONE 167 against Blake Cooper. This will give Kade Ruotolo a chance to cement himself among ONE Championship’s most valuable fighters. Considering Musumeci is moving up from Flyweight to Lightweight Kade Ruotolo will be the favourite heading into the bout. Kade Ruotolo will be defending his belt against Musumeci on the ONE 168 card.
Also on the Card
Another addition to the card is Liam Harrison who will be against Muay Thai superstar Seksan Or Kwanmuang in a catchweight Muay Thai bout. Just like Kade Ruotolo and Musumeci, Harrison already has another fight booked. Harrison will face Katsuki Kitano in a bantamweight Muay Thai fight at ONE 167.
Stamp Fairtext against Jing Nan will be headlining the ONE 168 card. Jonathan Haggerty against Superlek Kiatmoo9 will serve as the co-main event. The reigning ONE Women’s atomweight MMA World Champion Fairtext will be looking to become a two-division champion when she challenges Nan for the Strawweight MMA Title. Haggerty against Superlek is also a clash of two of the greatest strikers in the world currently. Haggerty is currently a two-sport ONE World Champion and has put his bantamweight Muay Thai title on the line.
