Keith Thurman is set to return to the ring for the first time in three years since beating Mario Barrios.
Thurman will return against Brock Jarvis (21-1-0) on March 12th via No Limit Promotions.
The American star has been out of the ring since beating current WBC champion Mario Barrios and is set to make a huge return in March.
Thurman has a stellar 30-1-0 record beating the likes of Danny Garcia and Shaun Porter.
He will now take on Brock Jarvis in his home country of Australia.
Keith Thurman is inactive despite bouts being discussed including a fight with Tim Tszyu which fell through.
Thurman and Tszyu were meant to fight in March last year, but due to a bicep injury, the bout was cancelled and never rescheduled.
This matchup could be reignited with Tszyu looking to get back in the win column after his losses to Sebastian Fundora and Bakhram Murtazaliev.
The two fighters could have a great opportunity in the summer of 2025 to finally face off in the ring.
Keith Thurman Has Big Plans-
Keith Thurman has promised a stellar comeback and has big plans not just for one fight but for the whole of 2025.
Thurman has promised a massive return comparing himself with some of the boxing greats of the past.
“This is history in the making, this is Sugar Ray Leonard, this is Muhammad Ali after prison.”
Despite the massive layoff and inactivity, Thurman believes he will still have what it takes to perform.
“Time does not take away the ability of champions.”
Thurman is confident in his ability even mocking his opponent in the build-up.
“(But first) I’m going to remind people who Keith Thurman is by beating up some kangaroo. All you want me to do is beat up some kangaroo.’
Although Thurman is looking to get under Jarvis’s skin it doesn’t seem like he’s taken the bait.
“It’s what I’m about to do. I’m about to beat up on an old man who is well and truly past it.”
The two will take the battle on a non-PPV card in Australia on March 3rd.
