Khamzat Chimaev puts the pre-fight shenanigans in the rearview mirror and delivers in spectacular fashion. Taking on Kevin Holland he wasted no time in attempting to get the fight to the mat.
With seconds on the clock, the fight hit the mat. Kevin showed resilience and didn’t make it easy for Borz. However, the pressure seemed too much for “Big Mouth”.
As Holland attempted to scramble his neck was left exposed. Khamzat wasted no time in locking his long limbs around it. Sinking in a D’arce choke he got the submission victory 2:13 into round one.
Entering the arena Chimaev had the whole crowd booing him. Despite the super impressive performance the fans couldn’t look past his pre-fight antics and continued the jeers.
