UKFC 19 is quickly becoming a who’s who of the best prospects competing on the British regional scene. The promotion has put together a fight between two surging amateur flyweights. Whoever takes home the victory may be soon calling for a title shot, both fighters making their fifth trip to the Octagon.
Kristoff Grambow vs Diogo Ramos
The fight in question almost did not come together. UKFC had struggled to match up both fighters, several opponents having declined to fight them as per the promotion. Both fighters are held in high regard by the promotion, having each fought all their fights under the UKFC banner.
Kristoff Grambow fights out of Reps MMA in Preston and holds a 4-0-0 amateur record. The Gibraltarian fighter has grown with every win, each time exhibiting a new level of skill and mastery of his craft. Kristoff Grambow has a strong wrestling base and often uses his grappling prowess to control the tempo of the fight. The undefeated fighter looks to win a fifth fight and enter title contention. Combat Sports UK contacted Kristoff Grambow for a comment about his next fight.
Diogo Ramos is a 2-2-0 fighter, training out of Knuckleheads MMA gym in Madeira, Portugal. The Portuguese fighter holds a mixed record, losing his first two bouts. The two bouts in question were very close. His debut was a split decision loss, an unlucky result considering one judge scored it for him. Since losing twice, Diogo Ramos has gone from strength to strength. His first win was dominant, and he finished it via standing guillotine in two minutes. He most recently fought against Swiss prospect Nils Goitom, a talented Muay Thai fighter who made the transition to MMA. He won a unanimous decision against Nils and looked to do the same on May 14th. Combat Sports UK contacted Diogo Ramos for comment about his next fight.
UKFC 19 Takes Place May 14th
