Almighty Fighting Championship continues to throw out huge fight announcements ahead of their upcoming show in Liverpool on April 2nd.
The Olympia in Liverpool will play host to an incredible fight-card put together by Almighty promoter Ray Thompson. Today the England based promotion announced another exciting matchup. Kurtis Campbell will meet Kyle Jones for the amateur lightweight interim title.
Kurtis Campbell vs. Kyle Jones
Kurtis Campbell (7-1) needs no introduction. You know his body of work already if you’ve been following the UK regional scene.
“The Pink Panther” made his amateur debut in 2018, since then has progressed through the rankings, dismantling his opponents. His only loss came to Liam McCraken in 2018.
Campbell has acquired the “triple champ” status in his short amateur career, holding the FCC lightweight belt and the UKFC bantamweight and featherweight belt. Can the young man add another belt to the collection?
Kyle Jones (4-0) has been banging on the door for a title opportunity after picking up a knockout victory at Almighty FC 16 over Oliver Harriott. The impact of the global pandemic and injuries prevented the Welshman from getting the title fight.
Don’t let the two year period of inactivity fool you from Kyle Jones. The lightweight is well capable of securing a stoppage win, with three of his four wins being stopped within the distance.
The quality of Almighty FC 24 continues to deliver, and with this barnburner being added to the card, it only gets stronger.
Who are you backing to leave Liverpool with the AFC lightweight interim title?
