Lauren Murphy and Jessica Andrade are set to clash at UFC 283 in Brazil on January 21st, 2023.
Andrade will test herself at flyweight once again when faced of with title challenger Murphy in Rio de Janeiro. MMA Fighting were first to confirm the fight booking.

Murphy (16-5) has always been the silent assassin in the division consistently chipping away racking up wins against top opposition. The 39-year-old has only fought once in 2022 which saw her rebound from her loss to Valentina Shevchenko by defeating Miesha Tate. The unanimous decision victory over Tate marked the biggest of her career giving the former bantamweight champions name value and past accolades.
Since losing to Shevchenko, Andrade (23-9) has attained back-to-back wins over Cynthia Calvillo and Amanda Lemos in the first round. The Brazilian’s dub over Lemos was fought at strawweight, which many believed that’s where she would call her home for now. However, it’s a flyweight return for Andrade who takes on one of the most game in the division.
