Conor McGregor’s fighter pay has been made public from his fight against Chad Mendes up to his bout with Eddie Alvarez as part of an ongoing legal dispute with the UFC.
The Lawsuit
Over the span of nearly a decade, the UFC and its parent company, Zuffa LLC, have been embroiled in a class-action lawsuit brought forth by a group of MMA fighters, including names such as Cung Le, Nathan Quarry, and Brandon Vera. These fighters assert that the UFC employed questionable tactics to establish a monopoly in the market for MMA fighter services, leading to a substantial decrease in compensation for their peers. Among the objectives of the Class Representatives are two pivotal goals: obtaining financial restitution for all 1,200 fighters involved and driving the UFC to implement significant changes in its business operations.
The “Internal Zuffa Bout Compensation” displayed various fighter financial information such as show and win bonuses, publicly disclosed performance bonuses, PPV bonuses, and discretionary bonuses. In essence, it covered all financial transactions associated with a fighter’s bout without explicitly identifying the fighter involved.
