On the main card opener, Englishman Liam Gittins defeated Edward Walls impressivley at the Cage Warriors 135 event in Manchester.
The early action was contested mainly in grappling exchanges, with Gittins ending up in backmount for much of it, and Walls attempting an omoplata twice. When the two separated, Gittins hit his advisory with a hard body kick, forcing a laboured shot from Walls. Gittins noticed this and hit Walls with a barrage of rapid-fire elbows to end the second round.
The final round began with an instant double leg takedown from Gittins, from which Walls began pursuing submissions. Eventually, the men ended up in a stalemate for a while, with Walls trying to set up and secure an armbar for an abnormally long time. Eventually, Gittins regained top position and worked his way to back mount, raining down ground and pound with a body triangle locked in. The fight ended with Liam Gittins trying to secure a rear-naked choke.
