Luke Riley and Jack Eglin just went through absolute warfare at Cage Warriors 136. From beginning to end, this was nothing short of a barnburner. Both men had their moments in this fight, and by the end there was no loser in sight. The true winners were the viewing audience, and the fans at home.
Jack Eglin landed some big shots on Luke Riley early on, including some shots that cut Luke open under the eyes. Neither of these fighters fought like a twenty-two year old. These kids fought with the fuel, fire and intensity of a man in his prime.
Then, Luke Riley flipped the script and put it all together. As Cage Warriors initially said on a tweet of theirs, a star was born. Luke cemented himself as not only last year’s prospect of the year, but one of Cage Warriors’ top tier prospects.
As time winded down, Luke found a home for shot after shot until Eglin dropped. The finish below, courtesy of Cage Warriors.
The Cage Warriors Manchester doubleheader has been spectacular and 136 has been heavy hitting in particular. World class event from a world class promotion.
