Rising star Luke Riley once again came out victorious in his cage warriors 146 bouts, securing a first-round finish and continuing his undefeated record. Here he faced Karol Kutyla in the featured preliminary bout of the evening. Every time Luke Riley steps into the octagon, fans can expect fireworks, and his last bout was just that.
What Went Down
Riley opened the fight with body shots as he walked Kutyla around the octagon. The fight seemed to be very one-sided until Kutyla threw a well-timed head kick that landed flush on the face of Riley. As the fight went on, Kutyla continued to throw a high kick and teeps, with minimal success, as Riley gauged distance well after the first head-kick landing. Luke continued to walk down his opponent until he closed the distance with a right hook, followed up with a left which sent Kutyla to the canvas. Kutyla looked to wrestle here and shoots for a double leg, to no avail. Riley began to land vicious hooks until referee Leon Roberts stepped in and stopped the fight.
Next Gen teammate and training partner Paddy Pimblett could be seen carrying Riley around on his shoulders, beaming with pride after the fight.
