Manel Kape expressed his frustration after his opponent Alex Perez was forced out of their fight just before the pair were set to clash at UFC San Antonio.
While deep into the UFC San Antonio preliminary card, the broadcast team announced that the fight was scrapped due to a medical reason on Perez’s side. When the announcement was made, Perez and Kape were expected to make the walk in about 30 minutes from then.
The full details were not detailed on air, and the card went ahead with one less bout.
Manel Kape Slams Alex Perez for Pulling Out of UFC San Antonio Bout
Perez has had twelve canceled bouts since joining the UFC in 2017, so it didn’t seem to surprise Kape, who slaughtered his opponent on social media after the announcement was made.
“Unfortunately, my opponent just came to the weighing to pose and take a picture!” Kape wrote on Instagram. “Inside me I felt that he would not have the courage to face me, our energies were totally different and I knew that he did not want to be here, he did not want the same as I wanted, and it was notorious the fear that emanated from him.
“But I was surprised to see him getting on the bus and I really thought we were going to fight. Even after grabbing him by the neck and giving him some good slaps in the chest, in the meeting room. We arrived at the Arena, warmed up, turned on my hands and only three fights left for our fight, he just gave up! Your DNA is an abomination. Unlike you, my DNA is from fearless warriors coming from Queen NJinga Mbande, my DNA has history. I kill by the sword and die by the sword inside the battlefield.
YOU COWARD! Cowards die several times before their death.”

Alex Perez Responds
Kape was aiming to continue riding high on the momentum he had attained in his last three bouts. After dropping his first two UFC bouts, the 29-year-old has bounced back in fanatic fashion, winning his last three, with wins over Ode Osbourne, Zhalgas Zhumagulov, and David Dvořák.
Perez eventually weighed in on the situation and assured fans and his colleagues it was a serious seizure during the warmups that prevented him from making the walk. He also stated he would undergo further tests to investigate the reasoning behind the seizure occurring.
