Yorkshire-based UFC fighter Marc Diakiese recently took to Instagram to notify fans of a new fight contract with the UFC.
In the official post, ‘Bonecrusher’ quoted “New @ufc contract signed”. “Been some journey so far & so much more still to come.”
Marc also hinted at some upcoming fight news, “Fight news about to drop”
No fight number was specified for the contract, but we can assume it’s a multi-fight deal given some of Marc’s previous UFC performances.
The deal comes after Diakiese’s win over Viacheslav Borschev at UFC: Columbus. In which Marc, who usually opts to keep fights on the feet, wowed spectators by grappling his way to a unanimous decision win.
Diakiese New Deal: What’s Next?
Before making his way into the UFC, Marc Diakiese went 8-0 as a pro on the UK Regional Scene. His flashy fighting style earned him multiple wins under BAMMA.
Then, a 3 fight UFC win streak for the lightweight was met with an unfortunate loss streak of 3 fights. Marc bounced back with two wins over Joe Duffy and Lando Vannata in 2019. But then found himself on a two-fight skid following losses against Rafael Fiziev and Rafael Alves.
However, in what looked like a make or break fight, Marc got the job done against 155 prospect Viacheslav Borschev.
The MMA world knows how good Bonecrusher can be. With great power in his hands and a well-balanced fighting style, the sky is the limit for Marc following this new UFC contract.
At just 29 years old, Marc has more than enough time to head for UFC gold and solidify himself as one of the UK’s top MMA fighters.
Marc’s next fight can’t be far, as previously stated fight news is upon the horizon! Fans should also note that Diakiese previously called for his next fight to be in the UK. Could we see him on the upcoming UFC London card in July?
