Marcin Tybura uses his experiments and gas tank to drag Romanov into deep waters after a dominant first round for King Kong at UFC 278.
Round one clearly goes the way of Alexandr Romanov. Slamming Marcin Tybura to the mat twice and controlling him throughout. Landing big strikes as well as holding him down. He dominated bell to bell.
In round two there’s a clear change. Maybe fatigue has set in but Romanov isn’t as keen to wrestle with Tybura. The big Polish native finds his striking and begins to pull back some of the earlier damage. Landing a big body kick and gaining his own top control. Tybura uses his grappling to land blows. Both men exchange back control to close the round.
Two tired heavyweights start the third. Tybura uses volume and experience to take over in the third. Still close but Marcin is the more active fighter.
It goes Marcin’s way via majority decision.
