Mark Ewen is set to make his second appearance of 2022 as he prepares to meet Paulo Roberto at Budo Fighting Championship 52.
The Scotsman has cemented himself as one of the country’s biggest prospects, having run through all of his opponents since turning to the pro-ranks. Ewen (3-0) has presented problems none of his opponents has been able to solve, which makes him a force to be reckoned with among the lightweights.
The Higher Level Martial Arts athlete kickstarted his professional career in 2021 with a stoppage victory over the “home fighter” Michael Blair at Holytown Havoc. Ewen followed that up, accumulating another second-round stoppage over a tough opponent in Tom Mullen on Almighty Fighting Championship. With the country’s top lightweights taking note of Ewen’s performances, nobody was willing to stand toe-to-toe with the undefeated fighter, forcing him to take bouts overseas. Ewen’s third pro-win kept his 100% finish rate intact when he took a second-round submission over Adrian Sanchez back to Bathgate on EFC 95.
The bout was confirmed by Higher Level MMA’s Facebook page, which also confirmed Ewen’s teammates Dylan Tuke and Martin McCrone would join him on the card.
