Reflecting on his debut last year, Matty said, “The time I was out went well. I was drilling the technique in the back, preparing it in sparring before the fight, so I was confident in my techniques.”
He acknowledged the nerves he felt going into his first fight, explaining, “There was good nerves coming into the fight. I think it makes you sharper on the night and more aware.” Despite any pre-fight jitters, Matty delivered an unforgettable 51-second knockout.

When asked if there was anything he would change about his last performance, Matty expressed his satisfaction: “I am happy with the last performance. Put a lot of work in, and having the coaches and teammates drive me every day in the gym to keep improving and push myself to the limits.”
Looking ahead to his upcoming fight with Stevko Horvath, Matty remains confident and focused. “Don’t know much about him. I’m ready to put on a dominant performance again,” he stated.
