Michael Bisping suggest a victory over Michael Chandler could see Conor McGregor fight for three UFC titles.
Conor McGregor’s return to the octagon is always a major event in the world of mixed martial arts. With UFC 303 just around the corner, fans are eagerly anticipating his bout against Michael Chandler. A victory here could open the door for McGregor to contend for multiple titles, a possibility recently discussed by former UFC champion Michael Bisping.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Bisping highlighted the potential implications of a McGregor win:
“They’re promoting this fight big time,” Bisping mentioned on his YouTube channel. “And listen, you never know. Maybe this might be the last time we ever see Conor McGregor fight inside the Octagon. I’m not saying that because I’m telling you right now, if Conor wins, he’s going to fight for a belt next, and there’s multiple belts that he could fight for – 155 (pounds), 170 and the Baddest Motherf*cker title, as well.”
Michael Bisping Predicts Conor McGregor Could Fight for Three UFC Titles
McGregor’s journey back to the octagon hasn’t been easy. He’s spent three years away from the sport, recovering from a broken leg and balancing his life as a celebrity:
“Three years away from the sport, he broke his leg, he’s sleeping in silk sheets and drives a Lamborghini yacht, and he’s a movie star,” Bisping observed. “Lots of distractions. Will he be the same person? I’ve always said listen, you give any man two, three months to get their sh*t together, get in a fight camp, lose some weight, get fit and healthy, the man is still only 35 years old. He’s got access to the best training partners on planet earth, and he was a two-weight-division champion. You can’t forget about that stuff.”
Despite his time off and various distractions, Bisping remains optimistic about McGregor’s capabilities:
“The human body can transform very, very quickly, so is he fully dedicated? We’ve got to assume that McGregor is because he’s lost three of his last four. Two bad losses to Dustin Poirier, beat Donald Cerrone and a loss to Khabib (Nurmagomedov). So it’s not that bad. But fight sports are, ‘What have you done for me lately?’ And since 2020 the world hasn’t seen Conor McGregor win. He needs a win, and he’s looking lean and he’s talking about fighting for a belt next.”
The stakes are high for McGregor. A victory over Chandler would not only mark his return to form but could also position him for title fights across multiple weight divisions, including the potential for the highly coveted Baddest Motherf*cker belt. This fight is not just a comeback; it’s a pivotal moment that could redefine his career resurgence.
As McGregor steps back into the spotlight, all eyes will be on him to see if he can reclaim his status as one of the sport’s most formidable fighters. Bisping’s insights shed light on the numerous opportunities awaiting McGregor, contingent on his performance at UFC 303.
