Michael Chandler went all in on Conor McGregor at WWE Raw on Monday night, as the Irishman continues to delay his return.
It has been nine months since Dana White announced Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler as the coaches for The Ultimate Fighter 31. Yet, a scheduled bout between the pair is still not within touching distance.
At last night’s WWE Raw event in Anaheim, California, Chandler called out the Irishman by echoing his frustrations towards the crowd.
The three-time Bellator champion said: “There is a man from Ireland who has been making me wait for way too long. And I have still got one dude on my mind. Conor McGregor! Get your candy a** back to the octagon!”
“We have got some unfinished business!”

Michael Chandler was last seen in the octagon on November 12th 2022. On that night, ‘Iron’ Mike lost to Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier via rear naked choke, in what was another entertaining showing. However, Chandler has been waiting on the side lines for McGregor ever since.
The 37-year-old said four months ago on ESPN’s DC & RC Show that it is difficult to wait this amount of time, but these opportunities come few and far between.
Back then, Chandler said: “We’ve been talking about (the fight with McGregor) since February (2023). Conor (McGregor) wants to come back to his first love and there’s only one guy he can fight, and that’s me.”
The Ultimate Fighter Controversy
The pair have not come face-to-face since the end of TUF 31, as the ‘Notorious’ did not re-enter the USADA testing pool after fracturing his left tibia and fibula against Dustin Poirier on 10th July 2021.
Due to USADA and the UFC parting ways, the former two-weight champion will likely return this year. However, Chandler is not guaranteed a shot of having a ‘red-panty’ night, as other names continue to be thrown into the hat.
McGregor’s Cryptic Message
Conor McGregor confused everyone on New Year’s Eve when he announced in a video on X that his return date would be in Las Vegas on International Fight Week.
Dana White immediately shut down the speculation of McGregor’s imminent return, saying: “When Conor is ready to fight, you know we’ll announce it.”
With Chandler waiting on the sidelines for over 15 months to get his shot at the cash cow, only time will tell if this fight comes to fruition.
