UFC fans have also taken to social media to attack Frontier Airlines
The former lightweight champion was forcibly removed by airline staff following a confrontation.
Michael Chandler Rants Following Khabib Nurmagomedov Airplane Removal
On Sunday footage released on X (formerly Twitter) showed former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov been removed from an airplane following a confrontation with staff. The argument ensued as the former champion was sat in an exit row, the most important part of the plane. Passengers seated in this row would be required to open the exit doors if the plane was forced to make an emergency landing.
Michael Chandler wasn’t too impressed with the incident and took to social media. The American said; “Can you imagine, an emergency happens on your plane and you would prefer a “perfect” speaking human instead of one of the greatest athletes of all time because you’re “uncomfortable” with his ability to speak English(which is very good, btw) – this is bizarre. Not only was he the most physically capable human being on the plane. I’m pretty sure the ONLY qualification to sitting in the exit row is being able to say the word “yes.”
“f you’re going to kick our GOAT off the plane for a little accent, please start making passengers do a physical and mental fitness aptitude test before you let them sit in the exit row after uttering a one word, one syllable, “yes.” Because I’ve seen some slugs in the exit row on flights.”
UFC Fans Take to Social Media to Attack Frontier Airlines
As a result of this occurring UFC fans alongside Michael Chandler have taken to Frontier Airlines X account demanding action. Whilst most of the questions emphasised on inadequate staff training to blame, others threatened violence. One fan wrote; “You’d better fire those racist DEI flight attendants and let us all know about it publicly ASAP.” A second wrote; “Maybe get your crew to understand that all you need to ask is “hi sir, are you okay with opening the emergency door in case of emergency?” If they don’t speak English, you’ll know and people would understand switching seats. Khabib made your flight the safest right there. Shame.”
Frontier Arline are yet to address the situation and have not released a statement about the incident. The company will most likely be expecting a shortage of new customers following this incident.
