Michael Chandler had something to say regarding reports that Conor McGregor has missed the USADA testing pool deadline.
The opposing coaches on the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter were supposed to face off at the conclusion of the show, but this is looking less and less likely as time goes on.
Recent sexual assault allegations against McGregor have also put the fight in serious doubt.
Michael Chandler Reacts
‘Iron’ took to Twitter and expressed his feelings on the situation.
In the video, the frustrated Chandler said: “Conor’s not in USADA. A hundred and seventy nine days left until December 16 which is supposed to be the last pay-per-view of the year.”
“Comically, USADA shows up at my door today to add insult to injury,” he added.
McGregor Misses USADA Testing Pool Deadline
‘Notorious’ has not fought since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier back in July 2021. He did not continue to be tested by USADA during his recovery.
The former two-division champion has now missed the deadline to re-register with USADA, making it unlikely that he will compete this year.
There is a chance that USADA and the UFC could grant McGregor an exemption from the six month testing window. Although, the rules state that this would have to be under “exceptional circumstances”.
USADA previously mentioned that McGregor would not be eligible for an exemption to circumvent the six month requirement.
More Setbacks For McGregor
On top of the passing USADA deadline, the Irishman is currently dealing with fresh sexual assault allegations. McGregor was accused of the assault at an NBA game in the United States last week.
If this wasn’t enough, his Ultimate Fighter team are currently without a win on the latest season. All four of team Chandler’s veterans that have fought so far have been victorious against the McGregor prospects.
If you were excited for the return of the Mac, don’t hold your breath.
