Michael Page believes that he can see a path towards the UFC welterweight championship against. Page believes that a fight between him and Leon Edwards could happen and ‘Venom’ thinks ‘that is going to be unbelievable.’
Dana White has certainly given the UFC fans an early Christmas present. The Bellator legend and fan favourite Michael ‘Venom’ Page has officially signed with the UFC and already has his first fight booked. Page is one of the most exciting fighters to come out of the Bellator machine and we have been given the gift of Page versus another beloved fighter in Kevin ‘Trailblazer’ Holland. Page however is already looking towards the future.
Michael Page explained himself what he believes will happen with his path towards the title. ‘The fact is, we’re prize fighters. When the time comes, we’re going to get to work and I can already see it. I can already envision it. I can already see MVP, Leon ‘Rocky’ Edwards, in the UK, two British fighters. That is going to be unbelievable!’
Page continued; ‘If you look at the Chandler route, I’m definitely on that mode. It can’t be long. I’m here for a good time, not a long time. I just want to come in and make as much noise as possible.’

Michael Page v Kevin Holland
Now whether Michael Page actually gets to the title depends on how his next fight ends up. This fight is not only his UFC debut but is also a very difficult one. Kevin Holland may not be in the top ten rankings for welterweight or middleweight but he is still one of the most well rounded fighters in both divisions. Kevin Holland is also one of the only fighters in the welterweight division that can match the hight and reach of Michael Page. Mix that with a very impressive skill set in striking and ground game with a variety of submissions gives you a guaranteed tough fight.
Luckily however, Michael Page is no easy fight himself. A tall and extremely fighter with extensive experience in kickboxing allows Page to open up the opportunity to use the knockout power he has been gifted with. A record of 21-2 in MMA has seen Michael Page win 13 times via TKO or knockouts and he has even managed to pick up 3 submission wins. Due to his experience in kickboxing, Page can perform a real variety of kicks and can put some real power behind them. Page may not be able to keep up with Holland on the ground. However if he could keep the fight on the feet and calm the storm that is Kevin Holland early, we could see a pretty devastating victory for Michael Page.
If ‘MVP’ does beat Kevin Holland, there are many fights to be made. The welterweight division is really needing some fresh talent. One possible fight to make is possibly Sean Brady. After a demolition of UFC veteran Kelvin Gastelum, Brady is needing a new challenge.
