In Manchester, England, UFC heavyweight Mick Parkin is gearing up for an exciting bout at UFC 304. The event, taking place at Co-op Live, marks Parkin’s fourth appearance in the UFC. He’s ready to add to his perfect record, and he’s optimistic that his opponent, Lukasz Brzeski, won’t interfere with his plans.
Parkin (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) will face Brzeski (10-4-1 MMA, 1-3 UFC) in the preliminaries of UFC 304, which will be broadcast on pay-per-view, ESPN2, and ESPN+. This fight will be particularly special for Parkin as it will be his second opportunity to compete in front of a home crowd.
The English fighter is excited about the prospect of fighting at home again and is determined to keep Brzeski from gaining any momentum. He also aims to notch his first finish in the UFC, having won his previous three fights by unanimous decision.
Mick Parkin Claims He’s Significantly Superior to Lukasz Brzeski at UFC 304
During the UFC 304 media day, Mick Parkin shared his thoughts on the matchup:
“I think I’m loads better than him everywhere, like technically much better,” Parkin remarked. “He’s aggressive, and he’s definitely tough, which could make for a hard, gritty fight. So, I won’t be surprised if it’s a harder fight than people are expecting, but can’t see him beating us.”
Parkin’s journey to UFC success includes a notable performance on Dana White’s Contender Series. He has yet to lose in his UFC career, with victories over Jamal Pogues, Caio Machado, and Mohammed Usman, all decided by unanimous decision.
Brzeski is coming off a much-needed win, securing his first victory in nearly four years against Valter Walker. This win came after a string of losses in the UFC and a no-contest during his Dana White’s Contender Series bout in 2021.
