Mike Perry has set a challenge for boxer Jake Paul.
‘Platinum’ Mike Perry faces former UFC fighter Thiago Alves at BKFC KnuckleMania 4 on April 27th. Perry pursued a Bare Knuckle Boxing career in 2021 leaving the UFC and making his debut for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship in February 2022. The decision was a success with Perry currently riding a four-fight win streak defeating stars like Michael Page, Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold along the way.
He told TMZ, “If he hurts Mike Tyson, let me get that, bro” putting his name in the hat to be next in line to fight Jake Paul.
Jake Paul is scheduled to fight Heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson on July 20th at the AT&T Stadium in Texas. Though ‘Platinum’ is keen to fight Paul in the street he is skeptical that Paul would be willing to accept.
Mike Perry Challenges Jake Paul to Street Fight
“Yes, but he’s not doing bareknuckle. I wouldn’t put it past Jake Paul because he’s been doing stuff that people would say he’s afraid of. And that’s partly what drew me to bareknuckle was that so many were worried about it. I’m like, ‘It seems real to me.’ So Jake, man, definitely issuing you a challenge: If you get through Mike Tyson, test yourself for real and let’s have a street fight.”
Perry went on to question the calibre of Jake Paul’s previous opponents. He described them as “taxi drivers” and stated “I’d hurt him (Paul). He’ll cry and run away and cry in the corner”
Whilst Perry seems to be jovial at the prospect of fighting Paul, Jake is yet to respond to any call out.
