In the latest update to their ongoing feud, Mike Perry has accused Darren Till of turning down a gargantuan purse to fight him.
Earlier this year, David Feldman revealed that he had been in talks with Darren Till to fight in BKFC. Feldman told Ariel Helwani that despite being offered the money he wanted, Till declined the offer – wanting boxing matches before fighting bare knuckle.
Mike Perry Say Darren Till Turned Down Huge Offer
Speaking on The MMA Hour, Perry claimed that Till declined $2 million to fight him at Knuckle Mania 4.
“I heard he said no to over $2 Million dollars. So you know, Darren is just yapping away over there. A lot of guys say they want to do it with boxing gloves or with gloves at least of some kind. With the BKFC contract I have, that money is there. Those fights will happen in the future at some point. But a big part of the contract is that I can do other things as well.”
The Till fight is still very much something Perry wants. According to ‘Platinum’, Till still sends him private messages whilst he’s out with his friends.
“People want that fight to happen, and it will happen. He’s still talking. He sends me private messages when he’s out drinking with his friends saying, ‘You’re sh**, blah, blah, blah, blah’ and talking sh**.”
Developing his Bare Knuckle Legacy
Whilst Till has not competed in competition since December 2022, Perry has been active since his UFC departure. Making strides in BKFC, Perry is now 4:0, with wins over Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold.
He looks to improve his undefeated record to 5:0 at Knuckle Mania 4, against Thiago Alves.
Although being paid handsomely as BKFC’s middleweight champion, ‘Platinum’ is just glad to be using his time as wisely as possible – something he believes Till is not.
“Maybe he’s just too busy having fun in life, just f**king around. I’m too busy trying to get this money while I can. While I’m strong. Heading into the peak of my athletic career. I use my time as wisely as possible to make it better for myself.”
If Perry can get past a tough outing in Alves, Till is surely a name that will crop up as a potential opponent in the near future.
