Mike Perry went off on Dana White as the UFC president praised Merab Dvalishivili after his win at UFC 298, despite White’s past critiques of the Georgian who said he would not want to face his friend, Aljamain Sterling.
Mike Perry Loses It on Podcast
On Perry’s OverDogs Podcast, the former UFC welterweight said: “I heard Dana be like, ‘Yeah, ‘cause (Merab Dvalishvili) wouldn’t fight his friend, you know how much we f****** love that here.”
“They f****** pick and choose whoever the f*** they want, whenever the f*** they want. They do whatever the f*** they want and no one can tell them anything about it. That’s where it’s f****** annoying and I lose interest.”
BKFC’s ‘King of Violence’ spoke about the continual monetisation that has gone on within the UFC, with Reebok and sponsored fight attire being replaced by Venum, as well as the company trying to be the ‘NFL and NBA of combat sports.’
‘Platinum’ said: “They’re still f****** rude, disrespectful a**holes, who don’t give a f*** about these fighters or anyone who puts their life on the line to do this s***.
“It’s f****** childish. How the richest f****** guy, most popular, most famous f****** guy of all time is childish. ‘Cause the NFL owners and s***, they would never say any of this f****** s*** about any of their players.”
No UFC 300 Return for ‘Platinum’
Perry called UFC executive, Hunter Campbell, on the OverDogs Podcast earlier this week to try and sell the idea of headlining UFC 300 with Nate Diaz.
The 32-year-old said: “Y’all could bring me back for that little purse and then throw in the PPV points and then we can have a great show.”
However, Campbell did not seem too keen on the idea, suggesting that Perry should fight Diaz on BKFC.
With Perry’s most recent outburst, a UFC return has almost fizzled out. It certainly will when Dana White sees the comments that Perry has made about him.
