Former boxing Heavyweight champion Mike Tyson was asked if Francis Ngannou stands a chance against Tyson Fury in an interview with TMZ.
Earlier this year, the former UFC Heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou vacated his belt after contractual issues with the UFC and now wants to venture into the world of professional boxing. Rumors of a Tyson Fury fight began when Ngannou stepped into the ring after Fury had just knocked out Dillian Whyte in December 2021. However, since then, fights with Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder as well as Fury have all been apparently on the table for Ngannou.
Mike Tyson Had This to Say
In the latest rumors, Fury suggested 4oz gloves and a cage fight. But also said that he would want Mike Tyson to be the third man in the cage as the referee. A TMZ reporter managed to catch Tyson as he was walking along the street in LA, and he had this to say:
“Anythings possible” and then when asked about being the official referee he said “you never know”

Of course, with Fury being one of two heavyweight champions of the world, he needs to defend or unify his belts. The obvious and most logical fight to make would be to unify the division in a bout against Oleksandr Usyk. Usyk last defends his belt against Anthony Joshua but now needs to unify to cement his place as one of the greatest ever.
Do you think Francis Ngannou has a chance against Tyson Fury if the fight comes to fruition?
