Mike Tyson recently was on Complex with Francis Ngannou and got asked a variety of questions.
As we know, the former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is preparing for his upcoming, and first, boxing match against the WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. The fight is going to be 10 rounds in Riyadh on October 6 as a professional bout. Mike Tyson volunteered to train Francis for upcoming fight as he sees himself in the former UFC champion.
Francis Ngannou, who refers to himself as the baddest man on the planet, is getting boxing advise and training from the actual concessive baddest man on the planet. Mike Tyson is also the youngest person to become the heavyweight champion of the world so he knows a thing or two. While it may be true, in most people eyes, Mike is the greatest boxer of all time. Francis and Mike took some time off from training to answer some questions from Complex.
The Greatest That’s Lived
“I love Roberto Duran and Muhammad Ali. Ali is the greatest fighter that ever lived, I have to go with him, yea.” Mike told Complex.
Mike pulled out the question “GOAT Boxer” and he immediately said he liked Roberto Duran but Muhammad Ali is the greatest of all time for him. Not surprising since he grew up watching him and always praised him. Francis had to answer the same question and said for him it was his mentor Mike but Tyson was quick to say it should be Ali. “I love Ali too, I love his story, I love Ali more for what he stands for, but my favourite boxer is Mike Tyson, all day long. I go with Mike Tyson.” said Francis to which Mike said “Thank you brother. Ali is the greatest.”
What do you think? Who is the GOAT of boxing? Is it Muhammad Ali?
