On the 25th of June, FCC 29 will go underway, hosted at the Bolton Arena. The promotion has put together a card with some of the finest amateur prospects taking part. At the top of the amateur bill are Kurtis Campbell and Milosz Kruk. The two men will be contending for the European featherweight title at FCC. Milosz Kruk cemented his place as Poland’s top featherweight, beating the formerly ranked number one. He has now turned his attention to FCC and Kurtis Campbell. He hopes to bring a belt home to Poland and dethrone the UK’s hottest prospect.
We had the pleasure of speaking to Milosz Kruk ahead of FCC 29. Read the full interview below.
Milosz Kruk in the Lead up to the Fight
You are making your second trip to the octagon this year, following a decisive KO/TKO win against Poland’s top-ranked amateur featherweight. How do you feel going into this featherweight title bout?
“I’m feeling very good, I’m in really good shape. Weight is going down day by day. I think I did everything well and on 25th June my hand will be raised. I’m prepared for him.”
You are going into this fight with the possibility of beating one of the best amateur fighters in the UK and winning a featherweight title on his home turf. What can fans expect to see from you on June 25th at FCC 29?
“Fans can expect a really good performance. It will be a good show. I respect my opponent, but the belt has to come back to Poland.”
When this fight was offered to you, what was your initial reaction? And was this a fighter on your radar before being offered the bout?
“I was very happy about getting the chance to fight on the event like this. Additionally, the chance of winning a belt motivates me. Nobody comes on my mind but I want to be the best so I have to fight with good fighters.”
In the lead-up to this event, preparing for your opponent, have you identified any strengths or weaknesses in their game? If so, are you training towards suppressing their game plan or bolstering your own skill set?
“You will see everything on the 25th of June. Kurtis is a complete fighter but he is only human. I can only tell you that he will pay for every mistake.”
Milosz Kruk: Future Aspirations and Fight Prediction
We are at the midway point of the year, where would you like to be by the end of the year if you can walk away from FCC 29 with a win? And what is your goal over the next five years?
“I want to win as many as possible semi-pro fights and maybe think about a professional debut. Next five years I want to be high in professional rankings and my main goal is UFC.”
Lastly, how do you predict this fight will go?
“I predict I will finish him in late rounds or take the win by decision.”
