Tom Hardy in continuing in his BBJ success
Tom Hardy, is continuing his success with BJJ dominance. He is signed up for the NoGi jiu-jitsu British open on 3rd December, and Grappling industries events on 11th December of this year.
In the two events that Hardy, 45, will be attending, he will be in the master 3 division. Hardy will be in two separate weight categories. The under 79.5kg category for the British Open and in the 84kg category for Grappling industries. Hardy has brought the limelight to the grappling industry, after recent gold medals in September at the Milton Keynes Open and in August in Wolverhampton.
BJJ takes years of dedication to perfect the craft and acquire the skills necessary. On average, it takes 2-3 years to go from white to blue belt. It’ll then take a further 2-3 years to get your purple belt. Then you get your brown belt, and finally your black belt. BJJ can take (ordinarily) a minimum of 8 years to get anywhere near black belt status. Currently, Hardy is a 4-tag blue belt, so it is assumed that it won’t be long until he is promoted to purple belt. It is reported that he fell in love with the sport after training for his film, ”Warrior”.
Braulio Estima
Hardy’s instructor is also incredible, Braulio Estima. Estima is a 3 x world champion, who needs no introduction. He is an ADCC Hall of Famer and is also Reorg’s head professor. Estima is a 4th-degree black belt, under the legendary Carlos Gracie Junior. Estima teaches at Gracie Barra in Birmingham with his brother, Victor Estima. The brothers are famed for coming up with ‘The Estima Lock’, which is only legal (in the IBJJF Rule book) at the brown and black belt levels.
Reorg

”If you are in the Military, Police or the Emergency Services, you will be used to doing a difficult job under the toughest circumstances. Unfortunately being a real life Super Hero can create problems for us. Firstly, the work is traumatic, often leaving people with both physical and psychological scars. But also, the challenging nature of the job can leave a terrible void when you transition into civilian life. Thankfully, REORG can help with both of these issues, and have helped many of your brothers and sisters. Contact us anytime.”
