The build-up to UFC 304 has not disappointed, being packed full of drama. First, we had Leon and Belal’s interaction in the elevator where Belal claimed the champion was scared despite video evidence showing the contrary. Now to add to this we have our first brawl. The brawl was between the 2 flyweights Muhammad Mokaev and Manel Kape and their respective teams. Footage concerning the brawl has since been released on Twitter.
With Kape being the fiery personality that he is, it’s not overly surprising that he clashed with Mokaev. Following the brawl, both fighters have given their say on what happened and their reactions.
Manel Kape and Muhammad Mokaev Reactions
Kape characteristically had a charged and aggressive response. In an Instagram story he said, “My bitch forever!!!! The deserters Mark, u will dream of me every time u look in the mirror. Falsehood scrotum They are in your vein in your blood in ur DNA. Saturday u going to sleep , Bastard!”. This was accompanied by a picture of Mokaev with a vertical cut over his left eye, alluding to Kape getting the better of Mokaev in the brawl and that he has a psychological advantage.
Kape also took to Twitter to elaborate. Kape said, “What kind of Muslim are you? You gave me Salam asked to take a picture and then tried to punch me in the betrayal, i can see now you are not a child of the dagestao, because there are created men you are just a poor bastard raised on a low income in Manchester without honor and principles. When I hit you in Vegas I went alone and I told you to be ready, I don’t hit men with their guard down or distracted or on the back. I thought everything was solved, but now the carnage will continue… Shaytan!”.
According to Kape, they were fine and went to take a picture. Then Mokaev tried to punch him. Kape also revealed he hit Mokaev in Vegas. He also clearly hurled insults at Mokaev regarding honor. Mokaev’s response was a lot milder and more humourous posting his own Instagram story. It simply read “Help” accompanied by a pic of Kape after the brawl on the floor being blocked by security.
This spices up their fight this Saturday at UFC 304. We can look forward to more clashes as fight week continues.
